The term of Infinity in this series of Transformer Pad is a kind of indicator that the combination of tablet-netbook is unlimited. Though, this is just our guess. The real reason behind this name still belong to ASUS: which is said that with Full HD resolution screen at 1920 x 1200 pixels the TF700T would bring Infinite entertainments. An of course you can make this device as a tablet or transforms it into desktop laptop (netbook) by attaching the keyboard dock. It’s available for Silver and Purple color casing (see the image).

If you don’t have an optional mobile dock for your Transformer Pad, you can skip this section. We wanna discuss the tutorial available on the User Guide of this device on the matter of attaching the tablet TF700T to its mobile dock. What kind of proper steps that you should do to make its “assembled” and “works together”. It including how you can charge the battery via USB on the mobile dock, and of course how you can undocking it if you don’t want to use the keyboard dock.

First of all, you need to know the parts and keys which are available on the mobile dock. We already embedded an image that would help you to understand it (see the figure on page 76 of User Manual of this device for better understanding). From USB Dock port, SD card slot, Mobile dock latch (the important part on docking the Transformer Pad Infinity), and also the Touchpad for navigation just likes you own your own laptop or netbook.

To dock the Transformer pad you just need to align the tablet with the mobile dock then insert the Pad to its socket until it sound “click” which indicating the Pad is securely connected to the dock. To lock the Pad with mobile dock socket, just move the latch (shown on number 3) to the right.

On the contrary, to undock the Pad from its mobile keyboard dock, just move the latch to the left to unlock it using your left hand, then just remove “pull out” the Pad Tablet from its socket using your right hand. Done.

The differences between Asus Transformer Pad Infinity for 3G, LTE and Wi-Fi only occurred in the specs of CPU, GPU and its chipset. For Wi-Fi only it powered with Nvidia Tegra 3 T33 chipset, Quad core 1.6GHz Cortex A9 and ULP GeForce 12-core GPU; but for 3G and LTE version, the TF700T uses dual-core 1.5GHz Krait processor with Qualcomm MSM8260A (for 3G) / MSM8960 (for LTE) Snapdragon chipset and Adreno 225 GPU. Three of them has 1GB RAM and optional internal storage for 16GB/32GB with additional external card slot. Not enough? There is 8GB cloud storage ready for your with ASUS Webstorage space service.

The Full HD screen uses Super IPS+ LCD capacitive touchscreen in 10.1 inches diagonally display size. For impact and scratch resistant, there is Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coated with the screen. The Super IPS+ claimed on 178 degree wide viewing angles with ultra bright outdoor readability. Almost forget: The OS uses Android Ice Cream Sandwich version 4.0 aka ICS. You can use your full 10 fingers to “operate” the screen by touching cause it supports multi-touchs

Attached 25Wh Lithium-Polymer battery capacity, as a tablet the Infinity could be used up to 9.5 hours, moreover if it been docked as pad with physical keyboard dock, the 4.5 hours additional times can be applied; for the total up to 14 hours normal usage. Along with the battery it has 598 grams weight. For the dimension it about 263 x 180.8 x 8.5 mm (8 ~ 10.4 mm) for Pad tablet only, and about 263 x 108.8 x 16.5 ~ 18.9 mm with keyboard dock.

There are 8Megapixel camera on the rear as main photography camera and 2 Megapixel as front facing came for video call or self portrait. It has a Flash with Auto Focus, BSI sensor, geo tagging and even can record HD Video up to 1080p@30fps. For connectivity it can be used 3G HSDPA connection and LTE connection or WLAN 802.11 b/g/n type; Bluetooth Version 3.0 and also USB2.0 port.
