Google Nexus 7 Technical Specifications
First to mention, the Nexus 7 would be available on the market just for 199USD for 8GB storage and 249USD for 16GB storage. This means that the tablet in comparison to commonly the same form factor device available on the market, is cheaper. For the price, it would be face to face with Amazon Kindle Fire.
What makes Nexus 7 differs from others is that it’s manufactured by quad-core 1.3 Cortex-A9 with Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset and has 1GB RAM. The 7″ display uses LED back-lit IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with HD display resolution at 1280 x 800 pixels. It would be around 216 ppi for pixel density. Another good news, the display coated with well-known scratched resistant glass; the Corning Gorilla Glass. FYI, the Graphic Processing Unit uses ULP GeForce. Of course, common touchscreen sensors and tools like Accelerometer sensor, Gyro sensor, and compass sensor also available.
Google also mentioned that Nexus 7 can be used up to 8 hours along with 4325 mAh capacity of Lithium-Ion battery. Along with the battery, the tablet has about 340 grams weight. For the dimension size, it has 198.5 mm x 120 mm x 10.5 mm. It’s quite slim though.
By having Google Nexus 7, you’ll got full access to Google Play store. Whether you wanna access Musics, Videos, Films, eBooks, Games, or Applications. It’s almost like the features and capabilities available on Kindle Fire.
There is only one camera which is placed on the front facing side for video calling. It uses 1.2 Megapixel camera with the ability to record up to 720p Video. There is no external card slot for additional storage, but for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), NFC, and USB (with microUSB v2.0) are available.
