HTC Desire 200 comes with 3.5-inch display size with 320 x 480 pixels resolution (HVGA). It’s uses Capacitive touchscreen display, supports for Multitouch fingers input and installed with HTC Sense UI 4.0. The HTC Sense is specially designed for any HTC Smartphone runs on Android Operating System. For Desire 200, the OS is installd with Ice Cream Sandwich Android v4.0

For example Under “Social” chapter on page 77 to page 80, you will notice that the Desire 200 has already been installed with Facebook, Twitter applications specially designed for HTC Sense. There, you don’t need to manually install both of the applications from Google Play Store. Of course, you able to update your status or tweeting on directly from HTC Sense.

On page 94 of User Manual of Desire 200, you will also know that the device has already been installed with two Cloud Storage services: Dropbox and SkyDrive. In that page you will also know that those cloud storage can be used to save your videos or photos safely even when your Desire 200 got broken or no longer used. You can access the file from Desktop PC, tablet and else.

There are a lot of more tutorial available on the User Manual of Desire 200. It’s including basic tutorial like calling, sending SMS, to advanced tutorial like how to pair the bluetooth and use Wi-Fi, using HTC Sync Manager or download games, apps from Google Play. Remove battery for few seconds, reassemble battery ~> Press and hold Volume Down; then within a second, press and hold Power button ~> 3 Android images appear on the screen displya; release all the keys ~> Selec Factory Reset with Volume Down ~> Confirm with Power button ~> Hard Reset step is done.

If your Desire 200 hang or stop responding its touchscreen display, you can force to restart (shutdown) the phone manually by removing the battery and reinsert the battery back.

The CPU installed on the HTC Desire 200 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 with 1GHz speed processor. The RAM uses DDR1 with 512MB memory and for built-in internal storage, the Desire 200 has 4GB. There is an expansion memory slot for microSD up to 32GB.

HTC Desire 200 works under GSM network (though it might difference in other region which might support CDMA network). It supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE quad-band at 850 / 900/ 1800/ 1900MHz and als 3G UMTS/HSPA dual-band at 900/ 2100 MHz. The HSDPA connectivity can be used up to 7.2 Mbps.

One of the good thing in most of Smartphone by HTC this day is that the device is equipped with Sound Enhancement quality with Beats Audio technology. It is claimed to have High fidelity tangle-free heaset with built-in Microphone.

There is no front facing camera, but it has 5Megapixel rear camera withouth LED flash. It can be used to record VGA video. Not quite good, although it might enough for photography outdoor purpose. The Camera uses F2.8 apperture and 34 mm lens with fixed focus.

It has removable lithium-ion battery with capacity at 1230mAh. You can use this battery for up to 7 hours talk time usage under 3G network. There are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, and microUSB v2.0 for USB type. In some version support for infrared. There is GPS too. The phone is available in two colors: Black and White.
