HTC Desire 300 is a 4.3-inch touch-bar smartphone. It’s an Android devices that uses TFT capacitive touchscreen for its display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution (WVGA) and has 16M color depth. Removing back cover casing of HTC Desire 300 is something that you must do in order to get an access on the inside of the Desire 300 therefore you can assemble the battery, inserting the SIM card and also (optional) inserting the microSD memory card.

To open the back cover of Desire 300, take a look carefully on the figure above. Follow the same instruction on the image. Hold the HTC Desire 300 with your one hand and make the touchscreen facing up, then with your other hand (right hand), press the cover on the back cover (pictured) with your thumb until the cover partly detached. Then continue to detach the cover from the phone until it finally removed from the body of the Desire 300.

If you have done what you need to do after opening the back cover, just align the back cover with the Desire 300 body, make sure the camera hole fit with the 5MP rear camera, then from top to down, press the cover until it clicks.

The SIM slot and microSD memory slot locate on the left of rear camera. If you see on the figure above, bot slot seems to be formed a kind of “L” letter. The SIM slot as vertically and the Memory slot horizontally. To Insert the micro SIM to SIM slot, just sled and push the SIM card with gold-metal facing down and cut-edge-off facing in until you hear a click sound. If you want to remove it, just push the card against the slot until it unlocks then you can draw it out.

You can do the same for the microSD memory card. Make sure the microSD metal-connector facing downwards, and aligns the mouth of the memory with its slot then slide and push it until it reach the end of the slot. The memory card is not fully drawn to the slot, it’s normal. This is because if you want to remove the memory card from its slot, you just need to slide it out. Remember to unmount the SD card before you remove it.

Remove Battery > Reinsert battery > Press and hold Volume Down; then Press and hold Power button > 3 Android images appears, release all the buttons > Choose FACTORY RESET with Volume Down > Press Power button to confirm.

The Sensors installed on HTC Desire 300 are the sensors that usually embedded along with touch-bar smartphone. They are Accelerometer sensor, Proximity sensor, and Ambient Light sensor. Three sensors that responsible for Auto-rotate screen, Auto-turn off/on screen while calling, and Auto adjust the screen brightness. Desire 300 has external memory slot that can be used with microSD card up to 64GB.

HTC Desire 300 is attached with dual-camera: 5 Megapixel autofocus on the rear, and front-facing camera uses VGA camera. The 5MP rear camera has F2.8 aperture and 34mm lens (wide angle). You can use 5MP camera for video recording (WVGA@30fps). It has geo-tagging, touch-focus, and face detection features.

For the connectivity, The Desire 300 has Bluetooth v4.0 with aptX enabled, Wi-Fi WLAN IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, can be used as Wi-Fi Hotspot, and also USB with microUSB v2.0. The device has 121.78 mm x 66.23mm x 10.12 mm dimension size (body) with 120 grams weight. You can use the Desire 300 for talktime usage up to 11 hours under 3G Network. It’s installed with removable battery at 1650mAh capacity. It’s Lithium Polymer battery.

    I can’t open the back cover by following the above instructions. I have created stretch mark at the corner with my right hand thumb (as pictured) after trying for 2 hours.
