For anyone that love to own small, simple and handy smartphone, this HTC Desire C might be the one that suit for your need. It only 2.39 x 4.22 inches with about 0.47 inches thickness. If you are not familiar with inches measurement, It’s equal to 107.2 x 60.6mm x 11.95mm (in millimeter). This size is a home for 3.5 inches Capacitive touchscreen display. This 3.5″ display has 320 x 480 pixels resolution (qVGA) with 16M colors.
If you are a kind of person who had a big thumb or fingers, It seem that if you not familiarize with this 3.5″ screen, this Desire C would not quite suite for you. Especially for typing using onscreen qwerty keyboard: in case you wanna email some one or write an SMS You better get the larger screen like HTC One X or One V had.

The manuals of HTC Desire C consist of two files (in PDF format). One for Quick Start Guide which only has 2 pages and the second one is the full User Guide / User Manual which has 158 pages. The QSG would help you to know the phone and few explanation how to start with the phone, and for the UG/ UM consist almost all the features and tutorial that you should know in order to mastering your Desire C.
The different version of the picture above can be seen for both on the QSG and UG/UM of this phone. Although for QSG Phone overview version uses colored picture and the UG uses black&white picture; as the figure above (we captured from User Manual of Desire C PDF on page 8 and the QSG from page 1). Unfortunately, the overview key-parts of this device only provides the front view panel. Though still it’s enough. You can learn where the location of power button, volume key, home/back keys and else.
Factory reset tutorial for HTC Desire C ca be found on page 152 of the User Guide (this means you’ll find it in QSG). The tutorial explains that it can be done by using two alternative ways: from settings menu and using hardware combination button.
(1) Slide Notification pane > Tap settings > Storage > Factory data reset > Reset phone > Erase everything. (2) Turn Off the phone > Remove battery > Reinsert battery > Press and hold Volume down then Press and hold Power button > Wait the screen appears with 3 Android images > Release all the keys > Select Factory reset with Volume down > Confirm with Power button > Wait till it’s done.
The UG of this Desire C also provides the tutorial guideline how you can use camera to take photos or record videos, learn to pair the bluetooth to wireless stereo headset, using maps, download or install apps and games from android market, using settings, set the alarm, use the phone as Wi-Fi hotspot, use Near Field Communication feature (NFC), and more.

HTC Desire C Specifications
The User Interface’s used in this Desire C, as usually is HTC Sense version 4.0. HTC Sense is a developed UI specially designed for Android OS. In this case this 3.5″ phone uses Android Ice cream Sandwich version 4.0. For the processor built-in on this phone is not quite powerful though. It might because this phone is not oriented for High-end smartphone which usually the price is also high. 600 MHz Cortex-A5 with Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon are used as Processor and chipset. It also uses Adreno 200 as GPU and has 512MB RAM. The storage for internal memory has 4GB capacity. It might that the user storage memory is only around 3GB. Fortunately there is microSD card slot ready to be inserted any SD 2.0 card (compatible up to 32GB).
HTC Desire C is GSM smartphone. It supports GSM, EDGE, GPRS, and also HSDPA. For the HSDPA in which it uses 900 / 2100 Mhz frequency supports for HSDPA 14.4 Mbps (up to) and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps. Another connectivity features in this phone are WLAN with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with supports for Wi-Fi portable hotspot (up to 4 connections), Bluetooth version 3.0 with A2DP wireless stereo headset profile and also USB with microUSB version 2.0. Near Field Communication (NFC) is also available.
There is no front facing camera on this phone. Which means the phone isn’t able to be used for Video Call. Yet, for the Photographic Camera, the 5Megapixel is attached on the rear body of the phone along with geo tagging feature. Unfortunately there is no LED flash light.
The battery uses 1230 mAh capacity and it replaceable. The body weight of this phone is 98 grams along with the battery. For the colors, Polar white, stealth black, and flamenco red are available to be choosen.
