HTC Desire Series (Desire, Desire Z, Desire HD) are the headsets / smartphones that has pretty good on acceptance of the Market. HTC Desire S designed as the same concept with the Others Desire Series. It used Full combination between Touchscreen Display and Candy Bar form factor. The Display Touchscreen used S-LCD Capacitive with 16M colors along with Proximity Sensor for Auto Turn Off, HTC Sense v.3.0 for User Interface Application, Multi Touch Input Method and Auto Rotate Orientation with Accelerometer Sensor. It designed using 3.7 inches Diameter at 480 x 800 pixels Resolution.
For the Operating System, it still used Android Platform. It installed with Android 2.3 aka Android Gingerbread OS from Google. That why the Phone installed also with many of Google Mobile Service / Apps such as Google Search, YouTube, Google Talk, Picasa, Google Maps, Google Maps Navigation, GMail, Android Market, Voice Search and many more.

HTC Desire S Specifications Detail
HTC Desire S comes with 1 GHz Scorpion Processor CPU Speed (Code Name: Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon, Adreno 205 GPU) along with 1.1 GB ROM and 768 MB RAM. This smartphone also included with card slot for external memory which designed specially for microSD, up to 32GB.
For the Data Networks Technology, it can handle both 2G Network (GSM: GPRS, EDGE at 850 / 900 / 1800 and 1900 Mhz) up to 114 kbps (download) and up to 14.4 Mbps for HSDPA 3G Networks and 5.76 Mbps HSPA/WCDMA (at frequency technology: 900/2100 Mhz).
Today, there no ways that the smartphone with high end class available without Wi-Fi / WLAN. Of course the HTC Desire also attached with this features. It used Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b,g,n and can be used as DLNA (hotspot router wireless). For Data transfer purpose and wireless connectivity, the Bluetooth and USB are a must! Desire S used Bluetooth version 2.1 plus Enhanced Data Rate a.k.a EDR and used microUSB v2.0 for High Speed Data Transfer. Without a doubt, the Bluetooth also supports with wireless stereo headsets profiles or A2DP.
Let move to Photographic Features. The Desire S comes with 5 Megapixel Camera on the back / rear body of the Phone (see the image above to make sure where it been placed, for the details of others parts you can go to “Manual Resume” Tab Section). It also employed with Geo tagging features (along with GPS, A-GPS), Touch-Focus, Image Stabilizer, LED Flash, AutoFocus, Camcorder / Video Recording, and Image Editor. This gadget also has front camera (VGA) that (you had to know about this) supposed to be used for Video Calling.
Multimedia Player: AAC and MP3 as two example of Audio formats that capable to be played in HTC Desire S along with others music formats such as AMR, OGG, MID, M4A, WAV and WMA. For Video formats, the most used video formats likes 3GP and MP4 are also supported. Though it also can be used to play 3G2 (H.263/H.264), AVI, WMV aka Windows Media Video (version 9) and also XVID (wing DivX Player).
