Actually HTC EVO 3D available in GSM version (as long as we knew stil in planning mode / “coming soon” term, not released yet), although this EVO 3D designed for Sprint Carrier in United State is using the CDMA Technology. We can called this device as HTC EVO 3D CDMA for Sprint. Because this device is a CDMA Smartphone, thus it will not works on GSM Data Networks (World Wide), though for Wi-Fi you can use it whenever your phone available on WLAN Hotspot Area.

Of course just like it’s name, 3D in HTC EVO 3D means that this Smartphone dedicated in order to serve the 3D environment in it Display Screen including create the 3D Video. More importantly, you don’t need even a 3D glass to do able to “see and experience” the 3 Dimension “thing” from this EVE 3D, just like you watch the 3D Movies in Theater .

The 3D Capabilities comes for 3D S-LCD Capacitive Touchscreen attached as 4.3 inches Diagonal Diameter Display with QHD 540 x 960 pixels Resolution (16M colors). Beside the HTC EVO can be view and create 3D Videos or Movies or 3D TV , the Camera 5 Megapixels also capable to taking 3D photographs and view it directly the sensation or 3D Images on the Phone.

How about connectivity Data Networks? Don’t worry along with Sprint Carrier, the CDMA supports EVDO Rev A and capable to be used along with 4G Technology (fourt 4th Generation) with WiMAX 802.16 e. Almost forget, as an Android come from HTC, the User Interface on EVO 3D uses HTC Sense version 3.0 (though the newest version HTC Sense v4.0 is already available). One important thing that you supposed to be done before you performing Hard Reset / Master Reset aka Factory Data Reset or you wanna update your HTC software throu HTC Software Update / upgrade process is backuping your Data and also all the file that you should save and do not want to be erased. One of the fastest solution and save solution how you can back up your data is using the HTC Sync. The tutorial can be found on page 122 of the UM of EVO 3D.

Continuing the back up process you can perform the Hard Reset by following this step by step instructions: Menu > Settings > SD & phone storage > Factory Data Reset > Reset Phone. Otherwise you can also “do” the Factory Data Reset by using the keys / buttons (in offline/ power off mode): Press Hold Power Button + Volume button Down > Display turns on, Release Volume button > Select Factory reset using Volume button > Press Power keys to confirm > Done!. All this steps can be read with clear elaboration on page 64 of the User Guide of HTC EVO 3D.

We aren’t sure whether this HTC EVO 3D is the first 3D Smartphone or not, but it seems in our knowledge, as long as we knew, for 3D Phone, the EVO 3D is the pioneer or at least one of the lattermost of 3D Smartphone Series available in the market right now. Performing 3D in Smartphone should be supported with high specs on the matter or “Brain Processor and also Graphic and Memory Capabilities), and so do this “thing” applied and installed in the HTC EVO 3D. Let discuss about the 5 MP Camera attached in the rear body of this device. Although it also has Secondary front-facing camera about 1.3 Megapixels for Video Calling usage, still the “most” important parts is the Main Rear Camera with this 5 Megapixels. If you see the keys and parts that we provided on “Resume Tab” section, you’ll notice that this HTC EVO 3D has a switch dedicated for two options Camera capabilities: using the Camera as 3D or 2D (Video / Photo Shot). For Video Recording using 3D, the EVO 3D can be create up to 720p@30fps and for 2D (normal) it can be used to create HD Video up to 1080p@24fps. The Camera also included with Auto Focus, Dual LED Flash, Stereoscopic photos and videos, and Geo tagging ability with GPS (A-GPS support).

There are a lot of Spec and Feature available in EVO 3D, but we just wanna share a few of them. Powered with Android Gingerbread aka Android OS version 2.3 as the Operating System by Google, means that EVO 3D included with preloaded Google Applications such as Google Maps, Google Mail, Google Talkk, Google Search, Google Calendar, YouTube, Picasa, Google Latitude and more. The list of preloaded applications such as Document Viewer for Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point using Polaris Office, Reading eBook or download eBooks for Kobo, or download Applications using Android Market, can be read the over view at “Content” Tab.

Flickr, Twitter, Facebook, TV out via MHL A/V link, Digital Compas, Java MIDP Emulator, FM Radio with RDS (Stereo), MP3, AAC, WAV, WMA for Audio Player, MP4, Xvid, H.263, H.264, WMV Player, Organizer, Bluetotoh version 3.0, microUSB version 2.0 (MHL), Wi-Fi WLAN IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA Certificate support, Wi-Fi Hotspot for Portable Router are also some others features and tools in HTC EVO 3D.

For the figure above, it is a picture with screenshot images that would help you to understand how you can open the back cover casing then you can remove the battery and install the microSD Card (there is no manual guideline how to insert SIM card in this HTC EVO 3D for Sprint, though it supposed to be available in HTC EVO 3D GSM, especially for the unlocked version–not released yet), Turning on the handset by pressing the power button, and also how to charge the battery and replace it back properly on its compartment. Read about this on page 14, page 23 and page 138 of the UM (unfortunately this tutorial are separated, it supposed to be gathered in one chapter: The Getting Started).
