As far as We know, The gadgets from HTC with Tablet type already available on the US market has 3 numbers series. HTC Flyer, HTC Jetstream and the last and the third is HTC EVO View that we wanna share its User Guide and brief of it’s Specifications at here.

Especially for the display, the EVO View 4G (supports for Wimax, that why it named as 4G came from) has teh same size with HTC Flyer with 7 inches diagonally screen. The material for the touchscreen uses LCD Capacitive touchscreen with 600 x 1024 pixels resolution.

There are some differences that you need to know about HTC EVO view and Flyer. The Flyer only support for Wi-Fi, but EVO View supports CDMA data networks technology with Wimax along with Sprint Carrier (in US). The EVO View also has (support) active pen and uses (the current version) of Android 3.2.1 Honeycomb. Flyer only uses Gingerbread though HTC EVO View also firstly shipped with Android Gingerbread 2.3 OS. And if you wanna compare to the Jetstream which has 10.1 inches display screen, there are a lot of and has big differences. No need to do comparison though.

There is no Quick Start Guide that we could found for this EVO View. And for the User Guide aka User Manual, It’s available for two version depend on the Android OS installed on your EVO view. If you use Gingerbread, you need to download the Gingerbread version, and If you already uses HoneyComb you should download the User Guide of EVO view for Honeycomb OS.

Personally we didn’t do a comparison between these version but at skimming reading, we found that the Gingerbread version has a little bit detail on the explanation of the tablet overview: Keys and Parts. As it shown on the picture below. The Gingerbread UM version also has additional 8 pages (more) than the UG for Honeycomb.

Learning to take a picture or shoot a videos on the HTC EVO View you can read the tutorial explanation on page 97 (Hoenycomb version). From how to open the camera, how to use Viewfinder screen, zoom it, setting, effect, shutter, and record video are available in there.

Because the EVO view 4G is specially comes with Sprint Carrier, the UG also provides some tutorial on how to user Sprint Service: using MMS, SMS, TV, HTC Watch, NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile, YouTube, and download musics via MP3 Store page 170.

And about resetting the device, you can get the help on page 44 under “Security Settings” sub-section. Touch Home > Menu > Settings > Storage > Facotry data reset > reset tablet or Turn off the tablet > Press & hold Volume Down > Press Power button > Display appears > Release Volume button > choose FACTORY RESET with Volume button > Confirm with Power button > Done. All data will be erased. Important!! Back up needed!

HTC Evo View 4G Sprint Technical Specifications

Designed with touch tablet form factor (means that it uses Virtual Qwerty to do typing text input), the EVO View has 7.69 x 4.42 x 0.52 inches dimension size. For the weight, it get 15 ounces. If you don’t familiar with inches and ounces, It’s approximately 196 x 112 x 13 millimeter and 425 grams.

Along with Android, HTC Sense UI also installed in this tablet. It support for handwriting using active pen and also has rotating icons. You can use it both in landscape and portrait easyly with dedicated keys (see the image layout on “Resume” tab section for the details).

The 1.5GHz Processor speed with MSM8655 and SQN1210 WiMAX, 32GB eMMC, 1GB RAM LPDDR2, are some of the hardware installed in these HTC EVO View 4G. The battery uses lithium polymer battery with 4000mAh capacity. This battery is non-removable type aka non replaceable. Be wise on using it or charging it. Don’t over charged!

For the photography features, this tablet attached with dual camera. One with 5 Megapixel CMOS camera with auto focus, geotagging, and support 720p Video Recording, in which it placed on the rear side of the panel body’s EVO View, and the second on on the front side panel with 1.3MP camera for video calling or self shoot (likes Web cam).

Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, WiMAX 802.16 e, DLNA, Wi-Fi portable hotspot, Bluetooth 3.0, microUSB 2.0 are some connectivity available on this device. HDMI port also available.

We forget to mention you that the EVO view supports for microSD external card slot up to 32GB (If you not enough with internal storage for 32GB). You can insert the microSD card slot by opening the back cover using your tumbs (shown on the picture below), then inserting the card. Close the cover again (re-install back cover) just like the tutorial below.
