HTC Freestyle officially been released on January 2011, but we noticed that the User Guide (Complete Manual) of this Smartphone, in PDF Edition or sometime called as e-Manual, was rather late at availability on the Internet, though the Quick Start Guide of the phone was already uploaded. Finally, in the middle of March 2011, we could get the User Manual of HTC Freestyle for you. Although it said it been posted / uploaded in the net on the end of February. We are sorry for being late on sharing and reviewing this Freestyle Phone by HTC with it’s Manual. Ideally, the released phone in market should be immediately followed with the released with the User Guide of the Phone, especially if the Phone box doesn’t had a paper printed Manual.

Although the HTC Freestyle almost look like the design of HTC Smartphone that used Android Operating Platform (Touch Bar form factor), but this phone comes with Brew MP version 1.0.2 Mobile Operating System. If you are an Android Lover, you might not really interested with Freestyle, but believe us, it worth to be had this phone although the Brew OS is not famous as Android OS.

The Freestyles equipped with Qualcomm MSM 7225 Processor at 528 MHz Speed CPU and included along with 256MB RAM and 256MB ROM. If you still wanna get a huge storage space in your Freestyle (if you had already had it), you can user external memory card using microSD that can handle 32 GB in max capacity. The bad news is, the Phone did not come with Wi-Fi and do not has Document Editor or Viewer (such as word or PDF).

Before you can finally able to used the HTC Freestyle after you opened the box, you need to assemble part by part of the smartphone. The simple tutorial how to do that can be found, just like we gave you the series of image below. It consist how to assembling the battery with battery compartment /bonnet, inserting the SIM card and microSD Card. Another help and tutorial that been provided in the User Guide of Freestyle including how you can use the Camera to take photo of video (available on page 61), using AT&T Music and AT&T Radio (read at page 62) and also how you can use the AT&T Navigator and learn to use the GPS (page 66, including how you can find the safety ways, find the closest ATM, Gas station or Restaurants, and more).

But if you wanna know how you can use the Bluetooth that already attached with the Phone such as turning it on or off, pairing it, using A2DP Profile, you can read and learn the guideline paragraph at page 69. Others Tutorial that you could learn also: Using onscreen keyboard, learn to access to the Internet, using HTC Sync, and more.

HTC Freestyle Specifications

The HTC Freestyle come together with AT&T Carrier and used Dual mode 3G HSDPA / UMTS Dual band 850 / 1900 MHz and also supports 2G Quad Band 850/900/1800/1900 Mhz GSM/GPRS/EDGE/. For the HSDPA it almost can handle up to 7.2Mbps download speed rate. For Connectivity, the phone also accompanied by Bluetooth version 2.0 that supports wireless stereo headsets, and also USB slot with miniUSB v2.0 for High Data Speed Connection.

For the Camera, the Freestyle attached with 3.2 Megapixel Camera with Fixed Focus, Digital Zoom, and Video Recording aka Camcorder Mode. For the display screen, it used Touchscreen HVGA TFT LCD Capacitive at 3.2 inches Diagonal Diameter along with onscreen Virtual Qwerty Keyboard. For Media Player it supports these following formats: for Audio Music: eAAC+, WMA9, MP3, and WAV, and for Video 3GPP, 3G2 for H.263 and H.264 formats, MP4 (MPEG-4) and WMV.

The Freestyle already has a FriendStream Application which can handle Social Networks application with on access, you can update status, view comment like or unlike in facebook or make tweet, retweet, replay send direct message in your Tweeter account. The Phone also has AGPS (assisted Global Positioning System) and along with AT&T Navigator you can use the phone to get the direction in your ways to home or place or make turn by turn navigation.

The Quick Start Guide of the HTC Freestyle, only consists some of tutorial on using the features of the phone. We do not recommend to download the QSG if you wanna know how to assembling the phone. It because on the QSG this tutorial doesn’t exist (although the size it bigger that the UG). If you wanna do that, just download the User Guide instead of the Quick Start Guide. The User Guide available in two language: Spanish / espanol and English.

    idk i will be getting my in 2-5 days i’ll leave another comment telling you. i have been so excited to get mine i’ve been on youtube looking up htc freestyle review to see if it would be a good phone. i’ve seen good and bad reviews. overall, i think it’ll be a very useful phone and hope to have it for at least till my 2 year contract ends! when i get my phones, i always go through ALL the settings before i start actually using the phone. Will comment wednesday or friday!
