After wrote Motorola Pro+ (plus) and try to discuss this Motorola Defy+ (plus), I am wondering what the point on adding the plus (+) phrase on the name of this smartphone. It something that bothering me. For a guess, it seems that the plus is just to differ for the previous series of Motorola Plus or Motorola Defy. In which it usually named using two 2, it instead uses the plus (+) as a mark of the device. The real answers? Ask motorola if you wish for the correct answers.
Full touchscreen display without physical keyboard. That the design of Motorola Defy plus. By having this type of design, we can also say that the Defy+ is using touch bar / touch tablet form factor. It also constructed to be survive in dust and water behaviour follow the iP67 certificate (survive 1m on water for 30 minutes). The phone that has 118 grams weight with the battery (removable and replaceable for Lithium Polimer (Li-PO) 1700 mAh), has 107 x 59 x 13.4 millimeter body’s dimension. Rounded corner with graphite gray color casing are the others body’s properties of the Defy plus. See it on the image above.

Advice: Download the User Manual of Motorola Defy+ instead of the Quick Start Guide / Getting started guide. We recommend you to do this because the UM has a better explanation than the GSG but also the file PDF Size of the UM (6MB) is smaller than the GSG (8MB).
For your information, the picture of layout keys and parts below (landscape with virtual onscreen qwerty keyboard on right side and portrait with home screen: number symbols, voice entry, return, sensor, power, volume, menu, microphone and more) can be seen also on the UM at page 4 and on the GSG on page 1.
Wanna change the SIM PIN, uses PUK code to unlock your SIM PIN, Restore your Defy Plus, track your phone or use remote clear (if your phone got stolen you can find your phone or erase all the data remotely by using these features). See the help tutorial on page 59 of the User Manual. At this page you can also learn how you can do a factory reset: Go to Menu > settings > Privacy > Factory data reset > reset phone on your Defy+.
On the User Manual also provides the tips tricks that you can follow in order to make a shortcut on using Google search by voice, set lock screen, sleep the phone, turn the Defy+ to fight mode on/off, uses Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or GPS (view and control it) and more. Motorola Defy+ plus Technical Specifications
The display uses TFT capacitive touchscreen with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It has 3.7 inches size with 480 x 854 pixels resolution (aka WVGA resolution). MOTOBLUR UI with Live Widgets installed as User Interface for the Defy+. It support multi touch, has on screen qwerty virtual keyboard, touch sensitive controls and auto rotate with accelerometer, auto turn off screen with proximity sensor, and more.
1 GHz Processor speed with Cortex A8 and TI OMAP 3620 chipset along with GPU PowerVR SGX530 use to power up the Defy plus along with Android Gingerbread version 2.3 Operating System. For the internal memory it has 2GB storage which 2GB expanded via microSD cardslot, and has 1GB ROM along with 512MB RAM. That should good enough to make the OS and applications run smoothly.
It is currently only works under GSM technology for data communication. GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA (7.2 Mbps) and HSUPA (2.0 Mbps). The Wi-Fi uses 802.11 b/g/n, the Bluetooth uss version 2.1 plus EDR, the USB uses microUSB v2.0 for high data transfer.
For the multimedia, both music and video for MP3, WMA v9, H.264, AMR NB, and MPEG-4 capable to be played. It uses Android Media Player. FM Radio also supported (need to use along with the headset cable).
The camera has 5Megapixel with LED flash, geo tagging and image stabilization. Video recording, digital zoom, video light capable. There is no secondary front facing camera though.

On the page 5 under the Let’s go chapter you’ll find the same image just like the one that we embedded below. Though it served in different order. It would help you to get to know how insert the SIM in, install the microSD card (if you don’t plan to replace with higher capacity such as 32GB max, the 2GB included microSD storage may already be inserted), and also hwo to charge, open and lock the cover case and assemble the battery.
