I bought a Nokia N8 mobile on 18.02.’11, from Reliance Digital outlet at KORUM MALL, Thane, Mumbai, thinking that it is a wonderful piece of work.

Right the time I purchased it it started giving me several problems.

The mobile started hanging as soon as I opened and I’ve to shut it down and restart it several times, before using it. Further, the battery seems not to last long, even if you keep the mobile switched off.

I took the mobile to Reliance Digital. The manager was very curt and said that once I open the seal of the pack, it’s my responsibility to solve the problems. I wasted and hour with the salesman in trying to convince him, but in vain.

I took the mobile to the nearest service center at Thane. The service people opined that the software may be out dated (!) and that could be the reason for the hanging problem and they’ll update it in an hour; and I’ve to leave the mobile with them to check if the battery drains quickly. I didn’t leave it with the Nokia service center as I was leaving abroad at night.

My problems did not end here. I couldn’t eject out the Airtel sim card which I used in India, easily. (Inserting the sim card or taking out is very difficult). The mobile is not user friendly at all.

Hence, I left it with my wife at Mumbai so that she can take it to the Nokia service center and get it removed. I will not recommend it to any of my friends Nokia N8.

I am now planning to take legal action against Reliance Digital Outlet in Korum, Thane.
