Honestly, I don’t really understand the relationship between Samsung Captivate Glide SGH-I927 with the previous “captivate” named as Samsung Galaxy S Captivate SGH-I897 — both of them bundled with AT&T Mobile Carrier. Therefore I don’t wanna compare between those two. But one thing that I do know is, the Captivate Glide has an alias name: Samsung Galaxy S Glide, Samsung Galaxy S II I927, and you might heard it as Samsung Gidim.
Samsung Captivate Glide is an Android powered touch-side-slide-qwerty-bar smartphone with 4.0 inches display: Touchscreen with Qwerty Side Slide Keyboard. You can use it as Touch-bar phone with on screen qwerty keyboard (SWIPE enable) or with physical Qwerty Keyboard.
Released on November 2011, the device run on Android Gingerbread version 2.3, but I guess that you’ve already had the Ice Cream Sandwich v4.0 Android Upgrade at this time. The 4″ display uses Super AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen with coated Corning Gorilla Glass. It’s has 233 ppi from the pixel density of 480 x 800 pixels resolution on its 4″ display.

Samsung Captivate Glide SGH-I927 AT&T Specifications
This Android I927 phone runs on dual-core 1GHz Cortex-A9 CPU with Nvidia Tegra 2 AP20H chipset and ULP GeForce GPU. There is a microSD card slot (external expanded memory, optional) that you can use as a extended memory on this Captivate Glide that only has 8GB internal built in storage memory. Along with the dual-core 1GHz processor, the 1GB ROM is attached to works together with the 1GB RAM. Quite high-entry level device in Q4 2011 indeed.

This Samsung SGH-I927 is attached with 8 Megapixel rear camera (main cam for photography shot). It has LED flash as an light assistant on poor light environment. This 8MP cam capable on recording the video up to 720p@30fps. You can have up to 3264 x 2448 pixels resolution for photo capture. There are autofocus, touch focus, geo-tagging, face and smile detection feature too. For self portrait and video call, the 1.3MP is ready as front facing camera.
