The Sony Tablet S that we wanna share the Owners Manual or Help Guide here, is one of two version of Tablet Devices manufactured by Sony included as the first generation of Sony Tablet Gadget. The other one is Sony Tablet P with folding type dual screen (we’ll discussed later).

The Tablet S designed with touch tablet form factor. It has 9.4 inches display diameter. The display uses TFT Capacitive Touchscreen. For the Colors and Resolution, this tablet has 16M colors with 800 x 1280 pixels resolution.

Personally, I love the ways the one side edge with rounded design (like it was being folded) uses in Sony Tablet S. Seems to fit and easy to handle in one hand whether you are right handed or left handed (just uses the accelerometer sensor to do best orientation to read and touch the device). For the dimension size, it has 241.2 x 174.3 mm (9.5” L x 6.8” W inches ) x 10.1mm-20.6 mm Depth (see the image to understand why it been said 10.1 mm to 20.6 mm – the folding paper type ) and has about 22 ounces/oz aka 625 grams.

As seen on the image above, on the side view panel of number 4 you can see the Reset button hole. The existance of this reset hole is available in order to get Soft Reset. Usually you do this reset because of your can’t turn of the Tablet S, or touchscreen frozen or others issued relating with “not responding” problem.

But if you like to do Factory Reset, you can go to page 138 in section “To reset your tablet device”. This Factory reset also known as Hard Reset or Master Reset. To do This Resetting Tablet S you can follow these intructions: Tap Apps > Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset > Erase USB Storage (optional if you need to delete the data like photos, video or doc in your SD memory storage) > Reset tablet > Done!

According to official shop page of Sony Table S at here, this device installed with Android Honeycomb Operating System. For the specific Version of the HoneyComb OS, it uses Android OS 3.2. Deep inside the tablet S, you can encounter the dual core 1GHz Cortex A9 with ULP Geforce GPU and uses Nvidia Tegra 2 T20. Its available in two optional internal storage memory with SSD; 16GB and 32GB. It would determine the price of the Tablet S. There is also microSD card for up to 32GB capacity.

There is also a version in which Sony Tablet S supports for 3G Connectivity. It been called as Sony Tablet S 3G. The 3G seems to be bundled with some of Carrier (depend on the region). For the 3G Speed, it up to 14.4Mbps HSDPA and also HSUPA, up to 5.76Mbs. Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and DLNA, Bluetooth version 2.1, Infrared, USB with microUSB support MHL and On the go, are also available.

You can use the Tablet S for Video calling without additional camera. There is embedded VGA 0.3MP camera on the front side. It also has 5Megapixel Camera on the rear side (known as rear facing camera). Usually it uses for Video Recording and Photo Capture. Up to HD 720@30fps for Camcorder Video Record supported. It brought out also with Auto Focus, Touch focus, Image stabilizer, geo-tagging using GPS, Face and smile detection.
