As far as I know, the term of “miro” means “I look” in English. We uses Google translate and confirmed about this. It comes from German Language. Personally I don’t know why Sony choose this term for this its new smartphone. One thing for sure, Sony Xperia miro which can be divided by its series number ST23i and ST23a (America) is a phone under 200USD on its sale. Let’s take a closer look “the inside”.
The processor for miro uses 800 Mhz speed with Cortex-A5; uses Qualcomm MSM72225A chipset; and Adreno 200 for graphic processor. There is ICS Android OS as its operating system. Without a doubt the Ice Cream Sandwich version 4.0 is installed because the term of Xperia on Sony officially means as a device which powered by Android OS, the same term for Galaxy in Samsung’s devices.

In order to fluently on using the miro, one important thing you must do is knowing the keys and buttons availability. It’s not funny if you even don’t know the location of power button, in which makes you unable to get the phone online. You can choose whether you just wanna reset the setting without need to erase your personal data or even to getting back to the state just like you own for the first time (deleting document, settings, data, photos, videos, installed games, etc): Go to Homescreen > Menu > Settings > Backup and reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone > Erase everything > Wait till it’s done.

Sony Xperia miro ST23 Specifications
The miro which comes with 3.5 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen display currently “framed” with four casing colors: Black, Black with Pink carved in, White with silver carved in, and White with gold carved in. For better “see” you can take a look the pictures of Xperia miro below in 4 colors combination. FYI, the screen coated with anti-reflection mineral glass in which would help to reduce “flare” under direct sunlight and also has 320 x 480 pixels resolution (though we aren’t sure whether it has scratch resistant or not). Today, most of smartphone are embedded with camera for instant photo shot or video recording. And for this miro, there is 5 Megapixel camera as the main camera which is available on the rear side. It’s accompanied by pulsed LED Flash, and some other features: self timer, auto focus, touch capture, digital zoom, etc. There is also available the camera for video calling on the front facing side of the phone. Although it’s only VGA camera.
With 800MHz processor speed, the miro’s CPU also works together with 512MB RAM. Because of an Android phone, the Google preloaded applications such as Google Voice Search, Google Talk, Google Maps, Street View, Latitude, Google+ are also included inside 4GB internal memory (up to 2.2GB for photos, documents, and videos user memory). There is an option for additional storage with expansion slot of microSD up to 32GB.
For the north American version of XPeria miro, the Sony ST23a, it uses HSDPA 850, 1900, 2100 Mhz for data networks frequency, but outside us which has series number as ST23i, it works under HSDPA 900, 2100 Mzh frequency. It supports up to 7.2Mbps HSDPA or HSUPA up to 5.76Mbps (and of course for GSM GPRS and EDGE data connection). Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB are also included.
