This Sony Xperia SP will be available in three version series: C5302, C5303 and C5306. There is no significant difference between these series, except for the “frequency” of their data networks technology which is related with the mobile carrier that you had.

Sony Xperia SP comes with 4.6-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display, furnished and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and has 720 x 1280 pixels resolution with 16M colors. It has about 319 ppi for its pixel density. This display support up to 10 fingers for its multi-touch capability. Xperia SP weights 155 grams / 5.47 ounces with 130.6 x 67.1 10 millimeter for the dimension size.

The internal memory is attached with 8GB capacity but after used by Android Jelly Bean version 4.1 Operating System and some of preloaded applications and settings, the only user storage available is 5.8GB. Still, you can get a microSD card and inserted as external memory for up to 32GB. For the processor, the dual-core 1.7 GHz is installed on the phone along with Snarpdragon S4 MSM8960Pro chipset and Adreno 320GPU.

The camera is embedded with 8 Megapixel resolution for the rear facing, and VGA resolution for the front facing camera. It has LED Flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, sweep panorama, image stabilization, face and smile detection, and can record up to HD video for 1080p@30fps.

The data network that made the different series of the Xperia SP can be divided as follow: the C5303 supports both 3G (HSDPA 850 / 900 / 2100 ) and 4G (LTE 800 / 850 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 MHz); the C5306 also supports 3G (HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 MHz) and 4G LTE (LTE 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100) and the last one the C5302 only supports 3G network for HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 MHz. The HSDPA up to 42Mbps, the HSUPA UP to 5.8 Mbps and the 4G LTE Cat3 up to 100Mbps (dl) and 50Mbps (ul).

All of them has WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, has Wi-Fi Directs, DLNA Certified, and can be used as Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot. Bluetooth uses version 4.0, microUSB version 2.0 for the USB high-speed connectivity, and has NFC too. The phone available in three colors: Black, Red, and White Silver. It uses micro SIM type.

Sony Xperia SP C5302/C5303/C5306 User Guide provide a great help for beginner user. The Manual is simple in each explanation though it make the tutorial seems shallow and note deep enough. But if the availability of the Manual in multi-language that can be found easily is a good point for Sony.

    Hi I got a c3502 recently and connected it to my system. I’ve installed PC companion too onto the system.However, I’m unable to access the SMS on my pc when mobile is connected to the PC. I would like to access it on my PC. Any suggestions? It seems to only back up msgs but i would like to use the full sms application.
