To be honest, Sony Xperia tipo from the point a view of its design reminds me the dimension and style of XPeria mini: small, stylish and pocketable. It even has a tag-line as Mini Android. This phone that also known as Sony Tapioca with ST21i / ST21a series version (depend on region) has 3.2 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen display. For the resolution, it uses 320 x 480 pixels. It’s about 99.4 grams with body dimension 103 x 57 x 13 mm (3.5 ounces weight & 3.4 x 2.2 x 0.4 inches)
Using Xperia brand means that the tipo is installed Android Operating System. Currently it uses Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). The Processore uses Qualcomm MSM7225AA Snapdragon chipset at 800Mhz speed Cortex A-5. Adreno 200 as GPU and has 2.9GB internal phone storage. The RAM’s attached with 512MB and has expansion slot up to 32GB for microSD card.

Sony Xperia tipo ST21i /ST21a Technical Specifications
Sony Xperia tipo has four body color casing options. They are Classic Black, Classic White, Deep Red and Navy blue. It’s facebook and google applications ready. This means Facebook application and some of Google mobile applications like Google Maps (with street view), Google Latitude, Gmail, Gtalk, Google Search, Google Voice Search, Google Play market are already inside the phone. According to official specs page of Xperia ST21, the phone battery can be hold up to 5 hours on talk time; 30 hours for music listening time and up to 470 hours at standby mode. It uses the replacable 1500 mAh (capacity) Lithium Ion battery.
The camera is only equipped with 3.2 Megapixel camera but no front facing camera yet installed. It supports geo-tagging and VGA video recording; but it seems there is no additional LED flash light or alike. For the zooming capability, it up to 4x digital zoom.
For the connectivity: The networks capable for GSMS GPRS EDGE with 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 Mhz, UTMS/ HSPA for Xperia tipo version ST21i (non-Americas) with 900 and 2100 Mhz and ST21 for Americas with 850 / 1900 / 2100 Mhz frequency. The HSDPA can be sused up to 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps.
Another connectivity features: Bluetooth version 2.1 with A2DP; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n which also can be utilized as Wk-Fi portable hotspot, and for USB uses microUSB v2.0
